The carcass of this bed is made from cherry including the large round pieces from glued up cherry and then rounded in a large lathe. These large ‘dowels’ were then put in jig to run through lengthwise through a table saw with a ¾ daddo blade to be able accept the frame with panels. The floating raised

The bed was given to friends and is one of just a few pieces of furniture they took with them when the moved to Malorca, Spain, an island in the Mediterranean.
